TV & Streaming
Netflix, YouTube or streaming keeps buffering
Video pauses to load, looks blurry, or spins forever.
- 1
Try another app
If Netflix buffers but YouTube works, close and reopen Netflix. If every app buffers, the problem is the device or Wi-Fi.
- 2
Restart the streaming device
Unplug the Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV or smart TV for 60 seconds, then plug it back in.
- 3
Check the internet speed
On the TV or a phone in the same room, run a speed test (fast.com). 4K streaming needs about 25 Mbps.
- 4
Restart the router
Unplug your Wi-Fi router for 60 seconds and wait 3 minutes after plugging it back in. Then try streaming again.
When to call a technician
Call us if buffering happens on every TV, or if your internet is fast but streaming is still slow. A wired connection or better Wi-Fi usually fixes it.

Common questions
Why does it only buffer at night?+
Evenings are the busiest time on internet networks and in your home. Better Wi-Fi or a wired connection helps.
Do I need a faster internet plan?+
Not always. Often the Wi-Fi in the TV room is the weak point, not the plan.
We hardwire TVs and upgrade Wi-Fi in homes across Naples, Estero and Bonita Springs to end buffering. Our service areas.
